"BDSMANTIS" (2022) 14"x14" printed on paper. The mantis is one of the only insects to decapitate their loves after they're done mating. Tying this to the idea of human nature, the subculture of BDSM is puzzling to outsiders. Why take part in sadism and masochism voluntarily? We are programmed to avoid pain, not lean into the uncomfortable voluntarily. Unlike insects, we have a say in these matters, a choice. The idea of an insect in a gimp mask felt comedic, which brought on the idea for this print.

"Image Transfer" (2023) An experiment sample, used towards my final textiles project "What Do You Know About Girls." Using a gel plate, I stuck on a clipping from an erotic magazine and transferred the image during the process.
